Offenburg-based company Sevdesk, a proud alumnus of the STEP USA program, has achieved a significant milestone: the Paris-based software provider Cegid, specializing in cloud business management solutions, has acquired the accounting platform founded in 2013.

With over 130,000 customers across more than 100 industries and a revenue of €14 million in 2022, Sevdesk has established itself as a leader in the accounting software sector. Over the past years, the company raised more than €60 million from investors such as Arena Holdings, LEA Partners, and Global Founders Capital to fuel its growth.

As part of the transaction, founders Marco Reinbold and Fabian Silberer are reinvesting significantly in the combined entity. Marco Reinbold will take on additional responsibilities as General Manager DACH at Cegid while continuing to serve as CEO of Sevdesk.

With an estimated sale price in the mid-nine-figure range, this successful exit underscores how the STEP USA program helps companies expand into international markets and achieve strategic growth on a global scale.
